How to make Peppermint White Chocolate Mousse?
DLux Mini Dessert Cups Holiday Peppermint White Chocolate Mousse
- 2 cups whipping cream
- 1 cup chopped white chocolate
- 1/8 tsp peppermint extract
- chopped candy canes
- green food color (optional)
How to cook DLux Mini Dessert Cups Holiday Peppermint White Chocolate Mousse
- 1. Heat cream over medium heat until bubbles form around the edges. Add the chocolate chips and whisk until chocolates are all melted.
- 2. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Chill in the refrigerator for several hours or until very well chilled.
- 3. Once the cream is chilled, whip using a stand mixer or hand mixer until soft peaks.
- 4. Add peppermint extract and food color. Continue whipping until firm peaks.
- 5. Transfer into a piping bag with star tip. Pipe into mini cups.
- 6. Top with crushed candy canes.
- 7. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

This mini dessert cups requires only 3 main ingredients. First would be white chocolate. Use the best white chocolate bar that you can find for that sweet and creamy finished product. The sweetness of the mousse is all from white chocolate so it's essential that you use the best there is. Chop them nicely about 1/4 inch in thickness so they could melt easily.
Place the heavy cream over medium heat and wait for bubbles to form in the edges. Add the chopped white chocolates and whisk until melted. This should take only a minute or two. Remove from heat once white chocolate are melted and allow to cool to room temperature. Pop it the fridge until well chilled. It's no secret that all you have to do is chill the heavy whipping cream well for fast whipping. Well chilled heavy cream also creates smooth and airy whipped cream.
Peppermint extracts are not created equal. Some are stronger than others so make sure you know your extract and have at least used it before. Adding crushed peppermint candies as a garnish is a plus. The white chocolate mousse will not only taste great and will look very appealing too.
We added a drop of green food color but this is totally optional. A white chocolate mousse in its natural color would be perfect too. But now that we are kind of in love with the green-colored mousse we also think this recipe would be perfect when colored pink for other occasions like Valentine's Day! There is no limit to what garnishes you can use to suit different celebrations.
